Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

Plain English. No tricks. If something here seems unfair, tell us and we will fix it.

The fair deal

  • - Free trial, then £15/month. That is it.
  • - Cancel anytime. No contracts, no exit fees.
  • - Your data is yours. Export it anytime.
  • - Your customers are yours. We never contact them.
  • - We can not change the price without 30 days notice.
  • - Tax estimates are guidance, not advice. Get an accountant.

1. What BuildRound is

BuildRound provides business management tools for outdoor service operators in the United Kingdom. This includes scheduling, invoicing, route planning, payment collection, tax estimates, and business coaching features. We are a tool - not a marketplace, not an employer, and not a franchise.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use BuildRound. One account per business. You are responsible for keeping your login secure - do not share your password.

You can start using the wizard without an account. Your data is stored locally in your browser until you create an account at step 6, at which point it is saved to our servers.

3. Pricing and payment

Free trial: Try everything for free. No card required to start.

After the trial: £15 per month. All features included. No per-user fees, no hidden charges, no transaction fees on top of payment processor costs.

Billing: Billed monthly via card. You will receive a receipt by email. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Price changes: If we ever change the price, we will give you at least 30 days written notice by email. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.

4. Cancellation and your 14-day right to cancel

Cancel anytime: from Settings. No contracts. No cancellation fees. No phone call required. One click and you are done.

UK consumer cooling-off period:under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from signing up to cancel for a full refund. However, because BuildRound is a digital service you start using immediately, if you begin using the service within those 14 days you agree to waive the cooling-off period and acknowledge you will not be entitled to a refund of your first period's fees. You can still cancel any ongoing subscription at any time.

When you cancel, your account stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, you have 30 days to export your data before we delete it. We will send you a reminder email before deletion.

If you change your mind within those 30 days, just sign back in and reactivate. Everything will still be there.

5. Your data

Ownership: Everything you create in BuildRound (customers, jobs, invoices, expenses, photos) belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership or licence over your content.

Export: You can export all your data at any time in CSV format from Settings. No charge, no questions, no waiting period.

Your customers: Your customer list, contact details, and job history are yours alone. We will never contact your customers, market to them, or share their details with anyone. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. What you can and can not do

You can: Use BuildRound to run any legitimate outdoor services business in the UK. Mowing, pressure washing, gutter clearing, garden maintenance - whatever legal service you offer.

You can not: Use BuildRound for anything illegal, to send spam to customers, to create fake reviews or testimonials, or to resell access to the platform. One account per business - do not share logins.

7. Payments you collect

When your customers pay by card or Direct Debit through BuildRound, the payment is processed by Stripe (cards) or GoCardless (Direct Debit). Money goes directly to your connected account. We never hold your funds.

Standard payment processor fees apply (set by Stripe/GoCardless, not us). BuildRound does not take a cut of your payments. Cash payments are tracked in the app but obviously do not go through any processor.

8. Tax estimates

Important

Tax estimates in BuildRound are for guidance only. They are based on the income and expenses you enter and current HMRC rates, but they are not professional tax advice. Your actual tax liability may differ. Always check with a qualified accountant, especially if you are near the VAT threshold or have other sources of income.

9. Availability and support

We aim for 99.9% uptime but things break sometimes. If the service goes down, we will post updates and work to fix it as fast as we can. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Support is available via WhatsApp and email, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We aim to respond within a few hours.

10. Warranty and "as is"

BuildRound is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every specific business need you have. We will fix bugs as fast as we reasonably can, but we can't promise zero downtime.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability we have to you under UK law which cannot be excluded.

11. Our intellectual property

The BuildRound platform, logo, brand, code, and franchise manual / service specifications are our intellectual property. Your subscription gives you the right to use the service — not to copy, redistribute, or resell it. Your data and content remain yours in full (see section 5).

12. Liability

BuildRound is a tool to help you run your business. We are not responsible for your business decisions, pricing, tax filings, customer relationships, or the quality of work you deliver. You are an independent business owner — that is the whole point.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data beyond our backups, reputational damage).

This does not affect your statutory rights as a UK consumer, and does not limit liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law.

13. Things outside our control (force majeure)

We are not responsible for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — major cloud outages, government action, natural disasters, cyber attacks on third-party infrastructure, etc. If we can't provide the service for more than 7 days because of such an event, you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the affected period.

14. Other legal bits

Assignment: we may assign these terms to a successor company (e.g. in a sale). Your rights stay the same. You cannot assign your subscription to anyone else without our written consent.

Severability: if any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Entire agreement: these terms plus our privacy policy are the entire agreement between us. Nothing said in emails, Slack, or marketing copy overrides them.

15. Changes to these terms

If we make significant changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the changes, you can cancel before they apply. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect your statutory rights.
